For Such A Time As This

And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this? From Esther 4

Esther went from an ordinary girl, an orphan being raised by her uncle, to a queen living in a palace. She hadn’t asked to be in that new role, or even sought it out, but here she is: the queen of Persia. Then she finds out that the king’s right hand man is plotting to kill all her people. No one knows she is Jewish but her uncle, Mordecai tells her she needs to go the the king and beg for him to pardon the Jewish people and reveal the plot of Haman. Esther refuses at first, she is afraid that she will be killed if she appears before the king without being summoned. But Mordecai reminds her that God can save His people some other way, but this may be her time to be apart of something great. Maybe that’s why she was made queen after all.

Do you ever wonder why you are where you are? Maybe there is part of your life you wouldn’t have chosen: a job, a house, a neighborhood, a family situation. Maybe your not sure how any of this fits into God’s plan for your life. But God has a plan. He always has a plan. And He never makes mistakes. And even when we do, even when our sin or our poor choices mess up our lives God is still able to use us in powerful ways.

No matter where God has you right now I want to encourage you to choose in. Maybe you are just staying at home with your kids, or just going to a job you don’t like, or just here for a season, waiting for something “better”. Whatever the case, this is your time! Choose into greatness. God has you here in this season for a reason. He can still accomplish His plans with out you, but if you don’t choose in, you will miss out. Don’t miss out on seeing God do big things through you. This is your time for greatness!

Jesus, there are things about this season of my life that i don’t love, that I wouldn’t choose. But You are sovereign. You have an assignment for me today here, and I don’t want to miss it. Holy Spirit, help me choose in to all that you have for me today!
